Launching in January 2006, the Payroll Giving Quality Mark recognises and rewards organisations (businesses and charities) for making Payroll Giving available to their staff. The Quality Mark comprises a certificate and logo, as well as Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.

Generic data protection statements for use by PFO's, PGA's and Charities on Payroll Giving Donor Mandates

In order to protect the charities interests and maintain the expectations of the donors, the Institute of Fundraising has published a generic data promotion statement for use by Professional Fundraising Organisations (PFO's), Payroll Giving Agencies (PGA's) and Charities on Payroll Giving mandates. The statement is fully compliant with the Data Protection Act and has received the assent of the Information Commissioner's Office.

What is Payroll Giving?

Payroll Giving is a scheme that enables employees to give to any UK charity straight from their gross salary (before tax is deducted), and to receive immediate tax relief of up to £4 for every £10 donated.
